Vrboska

Vrboska is mentioned for the first time in the 15-th century.
In the past it was a little harbour for the continental part
of the Island of Hvar. Since the Turkish occupation ceased,
it became a settlement growing into a little town with its
urban characteristics. The church ST. Marija from the 15 th
century is unique in many ways. In the sixteenth century it
was a fortress for people trying to escape from the Turkish
pirates. St. Lovre's church also from the 15-th century Was
rebuilt three times. It proves the growth of Vrboska.
In the mentioned churches, you will find several paintings,
of Italian painters Tiziano and Paolo Veronese.
It enriches the rich gotic renaissance of the place. In the
old part of Vrboska you will find a well preserved Renaissance
architecture mixed with the modern every day life.
In Vrboska you will also find the apartment "RENATO", a real

Vrboska is well connected by roads coming from all island
places. There are many shops to buy necessary food and other
things. Medical help is well organized. Not far from the
apartment, there is the post office with the automatic telephone
operator.

sunniest island an Adriatic HVAR.
It is only ten minutes walk along the coast and you will reach
the camp beach apartments "RENATO".
Near the beach, there is an open-air kitchen, tables and showers
surraunded by sbone walls. It is all situated under hundred
year old pine trees. An ideal surrounding for fish picnic.
You can enjoj Dalmatian food: sea specialities and grilled food
in near by restaurants in a special Mediterranean peace perfumed
by its extraordinary vegetaition.
A real good wine, silent miusic with the sounds from the sea,
bird songs, are good enough to be a little part of your summer
dream. Apartments ".RENATO" have a private beach in Vrboska,
surrounded by beautiful little bays, sandy beaches for children,
nud sunbathing at the bottom of thich pine woods.
